How will you define yourself?
December 15, 2017

Finding DoryNemo’s dad called them lucky fins. We have a few of them around here. One of mine is a bit of a time suck, to put a gentle spin on it. We’re talking at least an hour or two a day, every day.

I used to be really embarrassed about it, only to learn many of the people I look up to and admire the most have the exact same lucky fin. The reason I know? They don’t mind talking about it. Good for them. I’d rather talk about what’s working.

It’s pragmatic. People seem eager to define you by your so-called flaws, and I find that distracting.

I’d rather define myself by problems solved, lives made easier, whatever. So what if my road’s paved with challenges? Everyone has them.
